Obviously this subject was always going to be overshadowed by the Lib Dem contest, but I feel it’s really important that people interested in this site don’t miss the confusing issue of what the Government is actually trying to achieve with its new visa plans.

& http://www.griffindor.org.uk/index.php?subaction=showfull&id=1197997338&archive=&start_from=&ucat=2,12& (shameless I know) both go into this issue which seems to be trying to change things for the sake of change, or in worse scenarios change things because of an underlying prejudice in such a way that won’t really affect the richer, whiter world.
Interesting rant too by Julie, unfortunately seeming to be half of the truths that the anti-supermarket lobby keep missing but then bumped up with half of a lot of misguided opinion. If only both sides could reconcile and lose their respective junk!

Not a problem Aaron, I’m not seeking fame and fortune here 
I knew that the big news from liberal blogs would be the leadership contest, and I would be pushing for the debate to start on the Visa consultation and for the word to get out there regardless.
Like you say, I think using the comments section when we have discovered a blog a little later in the day as I did here is a great way of making sure all the important issues for readers get proliferated a little more.

I think you just like to cause maniacal laughter in me, don’t you? I wouldn’t call myself a Huhnista, but I suppose, given my feelings on Clegg, I am a Huhnista by default… I’ve been impressed by Clegg’s balls in admitting to atheism in the current climate, though, so my feelings on him have softened a tad
