Austin Mitchell MP – My Family and Other Animals. A Statement by Austin Mitchell
“In view of the number of media enquiries I would like to make it clear that I do not, never have and never will employ any member of my enormous family in my office or by my parliamentary allowances.
They’re such a load of ignorant layabouts that I wouldn’t trust them working for Grimsby, my parliamentary activities, or walking my dog.” [quote] Via.
Bloggerheads – How to email Gordon Brown
Another selfless example of public service blogging from Tim Ireland. ;o)
Gavin’s Gaily Gigest – Tim Ireland: An Internet Bully?
However, Gavin Whenman is fed up with Tim.
Lee Griffin – Labour: Transparency and independent adjudication, or the lack thereof
MPs have significant powers, but not necessarily the experience or expertise. The judiciary should do more.
Strange Maps – 240 – The American Eagle, About to Spread Its Wings
I love the Strange Maps blog, and this early US Map is both beautiful and prescient.
westmonster – Everyone wins, except Romney
If Sunny’s excellent Super Tuesday coverage wasn’t enough, you can catch up with westmonster’s post-poll review.
Cassilis – This weeks ‘Think Tank Roundup’…
A new feature from Liam Murray looking at the best theory emanating from US and British thinktanks.
Love and Garbage – Smoked out Salmond?
Salmond’s unstable minority administration is faced with a tricky vote today on his budget. Salmond has threatened to “force” an election if defeated.
Elsewhere
Westminster Wisdom – The Republican Race
Obsolete – This is Flint, Caroline.
The F Word – UK feminists must address worldwide issues
Spy Blog – Jack Straw’s Wilson Doctrine statement -Sir Christopher Rose to inquire into the Sadiq Khan MP / Babar Ahmad eavesdropping affair

You might disagree with what I say, but thank you very much for the link
Can someone please describe me as “a hero to some and a stalker to others”?
I’d love to display some totally spontaneous endorsements on my website, just like Iain does. So far, the best I have is “splendidly uncompromising” (The Register) and I didn’t write/prompt that one, so I’m not 100% happy with it.
(waves to Gavin)
Heh.
Oh crap, and I forgot to add my own 2p to this debate. Hopefully tomorrow.
The thing that rather amuses me in all this is that those who complain about Tim really haven’t got a clue what it really means to play rough out here on the net.
I cut my debating teeth on Usenet and in US political forums where, on a quiet day, you’d have 30-40 people online, all of whom possessed both Tim’s tenacity and DKs command of creative invective.
Ah, bloggers today, they don’t know they’re born.
Sunny: I look forward to it.
Unity: I share a similar experience and agree wholeheartedly. Dale, Staines and their snot-nosed thugs would be eaten alive in Usenet.
You can have an endorsement from me if you like?
“Tim Ireland. He doesn’t make me want to go on a homicidal spree, unlike a good 75% of male bloggers”
What is this Tim Ireland’s site traffic, and what is that of his “victims”?
He certainly appears obsessive, but to what purpose?
None, so far as I can see.
And you guys are only giving him publicity because he attacks people you dislike.
How petty/solipsistic is that??!!
Publicity?
lol
I write about things that happen in the lib/left blogosphere (and if I’m feeling particularly fruity I’ll drop in a rightwing link, too), so pretty much everything gets a fair hearing – should I see it. Also, it’s clear that I also gave the glorious oxygen of publicity to Tim’s critics too, such is my commitment to fairness and balance ;o).
I’m not privy to Tim’s stat porn, unlike others he doesn’t use it as an excuse for a circlejerk with his buddies. But I do know his remains one of the most visited blogs in the UK. Also, I wouldn’t believe half of the traffic bullshit you read on many of the “leading political blogs”.
