Indy no longer left-wing

The Independent’s new editor, who said today: “I wouldn’t have regarded myself as the most leftwing person,” vows it will no longer be leftwing newspaper. Great.

‘king hell – Alton shouldn’t be let anywhere near any the helm of any slightly sane organ ever again, following the Observer’s despicable shilling for The War. Could they not hire someone with a bit more credibility, like Jonathan Aitken?
