Google Earth and the UNHCR teamed up to map refugee camps from around the world on Google Earth. But curiously, they missed out Palestinian refugee camps.

Could it be because Palestinian refugee camps are managed by UNRWA, while UNHCR deals with the rest of the world’s refugees?

Not really that curious.

However, it wouldn’t do any harm to sign the petition http://www.petitiononline.com/unpalmap/
calling on Google and UNHCR to do what is necessary to include them. Perhaps a call to UNWRA would be enough to clear any issues over remits.
