Given Paul Staines’ homophobia I think the humour is ironic….
It appears you have, as I suppose left liberals are apt to do, slightly underestimated the leniency of the criminal justice system

After all, if there isn’t enough space to keep suspected rapists waiting for trial off the streets, putting away an anarchist blogger would seem a rather low priority – entertaining as it would have been.
