On 20 May 2008, MPs decisively defeated anti-abortion amendments to the government?s Human Fertilisation and Embryology (HFE) Bill to lower the abortion time limit from 24 weeks. MOREAnti-abortion offensive continues
The well-funded anti-abortion lobby is continuing its ideologically driven campaign against a women?s rights to choose. 13 restrictive amendments have been tabled for the next stage of the HFE Bill ? the Report stage now timetabled for the Autumn.
