RIP Lord Russell-Johnston of Minginish

And finally, something I was directed to by a friend: Life With Aspergers is written by an Aspie man and is very useful for understanding the mindset of people with Asperger’s Syndrome. The linked entry is from April, and is about how Aspies deal with love and other intense emotions, but the whole blog is very interesting.

No, it was Gina… Mat is of the opinion that a lot of guys are Aspie to a small extent.
Now, now, Let’s not break out the self-diagnosis.
Aspies share a lot in common with ordinary people, but if you spend enough time with one, you’ll realize it’s a little more complex than “I have this symptom therefore I am aspie too.”
Not that I wasn’t guilty of it once.
Actually I do have it (as in actually, as opposed to ’self-diagnosed so I don’t have to be polite on the net). Was just interesting how *entirely* that particular link summed me up.
Ah, my apologies then.
And yes I do hate people who use the label as an excuse to be wankers. That’s why I left the livejournal autism community. (I’m not an aspie, but my best friend and previous partner both are.)
