The Daily Wingnut

Now, come on – you didn’t think I’d really let Obama’s victory pass without doing a bit of a round-up of some of the wingnut chatter, and with Coulter and Limbaugh silent for the moment, let’s kick things off with Michelle Malkin who’s got some advice for the fiscal conservatives in Washington…

1) Oppose the Democrats’ next stimulus boondoggle.
2) Oppose Obama’s windfall profits tax proposal.
3) Oppose new bailouts for states deep in debt.
4) Oppose new foreclosure prevention measures that will simply provide perverse incentives for borrowers to walk away and delay a needed market correction.

So that’s a big ‘fuck the poor’ from Michelle.

Elsewhere, Mad Mel, the Fifth Horsewoman of the Apocalypse, is sliding even further into insanity…

The fear however is that the world now becomes very much less safe for all of us as a result. Those of us who have looked on appalled during this most frightening of presidential elections – at the suspension of reason and its replacement by thuggery — can only hope that the way this man governs will be very different from the profile provided by his influences, associations and record to date. It’s a faint hope – the enemies of America, freedom and the west will certainly be rejoicing today.

Apparently, Mad Mel thinks the world isn’t safe unless America is carpet-bombing large tracts of it into submission, but I think I see a solution to Mad Mel’s concerns – we give her a tank, point her in the general direction of Tehran and let her go for it. If nothing else it’ll provide a few minutes of mildly entertaining footage for one of Channel 5′s cheap-ass clip shows.

Meanwhile, Mel also offers up this incisive piece of analysis…

What this election tells us is that America voted for change because America is in the process of changing – not just demographically by becoming less white and more diverse, but as the result of a culture war in which western civilisation is losing out to a far-left agenda which has become mainstream, teaching American children to despise the founding values of their country and hijacking discourse by the minority power-grab of victim-culture.

At least I think that’s Mad Mel – although its possible that she really has imploded overnight and the Spectator have now hired the Twat-O-Tron as a temporary replacement.

Moving swiftly on to another of our own homegrown wingnuts, Nadine Dorries, who has her tongue firmly lodged in Tim Mongomerie’s colon (and for once I’m not relating a rumour about the Nadster’s personal life):

America In The World, an online centre for combating anti American prejudice is being launched tonight by David Cameron at a Westminster Hotel on behalf of Stephan Shakespeare and Tim Montgomerie. AITW is the brainchild of Tim Montgomerie, also editor of Conservative Home ,and it aims to do what it says on the tin.

So I’m guessing that the Nadster’s forgiven Tim’s for the rapid but unexplained about face on his proposal that she should be given a high profile job at CCHQ – personally I reckon Tim got cold feet over a promotion for Dorries when he realised just how big a cat-fight it would kick off between Jenny Eclair and Hattie Hayridge for the job of Britain’s answer to Tina Fey.

It’s worth checking out Montgomerie’s pretentious new Neo-con propaganda operation, if only for the occasional dumbass gem, such as this beauty that appears in a section which claims to debunk the ‘popular myth’ that America is dominated by intolerant religious zealots…

Contrary to claims of intolerance, 39% of America’s Catholics and Protestants report having a gay friend.

Thanks a lot, Tim, but I think Obama can manage his own PR without your assistance.

I don’t want to get too deeply into domestic matters here, but what Montgomerie, Dorries and their other Tory oppos represent is a mildly sanitised version of the same kind of right-wing god-bothering wingnuttery that spawned Sarah Palin, and one of the big challenges we’ll need to be taking on, in the run-in to our next general election, will be that of keeping these Republi-Con bastards out of British politics.

Oh, and as final aside from the file marked ‘cheap and tacky PR exercise‘, Nadine Dorries has apparently put down a ‘Poppy Appeal’ EDM and made a big show of announcing her support on her own shitbox of a website.

Taking another brief trip over the pond, Kathy Jean Lopez, the editor of the National Review Online, would like to the syrup-wearing, evil scary Tache-man, John Bolton, become the Republican in Obama’s administration – personally I think there’s more chance of Mad Mel responding positively to a course of ECT, but what do I know.

Meanwhile, Britain’s number one Karl Rove wannabe, Donal Blaney couldn’t even be bothered to wait for Obama to hit the magic 270 before making his pitch to become…

….the next Karl Rove – and as we’ve touched on last night’s other liveblog, let’s just revel for a moment in Iain Dale’s ineffable sense of timing…

3:51 Tory Bear: 9 mins till obama wins

3:52 Iain Dale: Right guys, that’s it. Game over, Bed,. Thanks to all for taking part

And with I’ll round things with a weather warning – visitors to Dizzy’s blog will find that conditions are currently dull with periodic showers of drivelling insensibility.

OOPS -

Forgot to add my favourite comment of the nice, from the message boards at Wingnut Central Free Republic:

“Over? Was it over when the Germans bombed pearl harbor?”

Go figure…

UPDATE – AND THE ZINGERS ARE STILL ROLLING IN…

This is from comment under an online poll asking whether people agree with the ‘gay marriage bans’…

I don’t want my kids to have to decide what their sexual orientation is. They have enough to worry about. – A Columbo.

Yep, their dumbass parent for one thing…

And a little later on we also get this rather puzzled comment…

Why should society make equal what simply is not equal? If I felt I had a real answer to this question, I’d probably change my mind. – Rich Nielsen

Well, i doubt it’ll changed your mind, but the real answer to this question that you’re looking for is…

…you’re an asshole!

The poll. itself, is worth a look, if only because it includes a nice US state map which shows where the yes and no votes are concentrated, all of which makes it really easily to locate Redneckistan.

Excellent.

Does that post mean Dizzy’s going to finally give up blogging?

I mean, I’ll miss him terribly. His cutting insight and devilish humour has been putting me to sleep for years.

“Over? Was it over when the Germans bombed pearl harbor?”

Forget it, he’s rolling…

hey all

excellent post.

slightly off piste, but wanted to thank you all who set up the live blogging whatsit and hung around to keep it clean, or as clean as u could what with Ireland hanging about full of mushrooms and driving himself to a frenzy watching a thousand razor-faced republican objects of love on the screen… anyway, v good stuff, really entertaining, and genuinely appreciated.

Phew. Was leaving it a bit late to post my annual positive comment, but have done it.

More classic comedy. He cracks me up.

Who said I was joking?

Very funny, liked it!
Animal House always gets +10 points as well :)

Ooo, can we have some more speculation on the sexual predelictions of all our favorites… I was sure I saw Mad Mel with Max Mosley just off Ealing Broadway a couple of weeks ago!

At least Malkin is doing what she’s always done; Mel, meanwhile, just descends
even further into self-parody.

Is that Malkin woman the one I kept seeing on Fox with her face all screwed up spitting slander about Obama into the camera?

What an absolute nutjob. She’s the epitome of what America repudiated last night. And I bet she knows it too.

As for Dizzy Thinks. He just doesn’t. Ever.

Hahaha! Thanks, Unity, for this surprisingly heartening post. The Melanie Phillips quotes are actually comedy gold. The second one in particular actually made me laugh for a good three minutes, if not more, without stopping.

‘Why should society make equal what simply is not equal? If I felt I had a real answer to this question, I’d probably change my mind. – Rich Nielsen’

Seriously, WTF? Wingnuts really must be from a different planet to mine. :-D

I spent a happy hour yesterday reading Townhall, Redstate, Free Republic and chortling to myself ( US ‘conservative grassroots blogs).

The main consensus amongst the traumatised contributors seemed to be

1) Buy guns ( ‘at state fairs in cash if you can’)
2) don’t spend money on anything advertised in the liberal media
3)don’t read the liberal media or any media at all, get all news from the internet, even Fox can’t be trusted
4) please can someone volunteer to read the liberal media and report it on [our moonbat site] so we know what they are saying and what is being advertised in order to boycott it

Mwah ha ha.

Amazing, huh?

Ann Coulter, the vicious conservative manbearpig, is blaming McCain for the new era of Democratic power.

Yeah, yeah, Ann. McCain may have run a woeful campaign. But that’s because he allowed the usual GOP smear-men to mastermind it. The same fucktards who, like you, have fuelled and profited from the toxic culture wars that have divided America – and for that matter, inspired so many Americans to give Obama so much cash.

Also, I’d love to meet the 8-year-old who ghosts Ann’s columns.

Michelle Malkin said she “has a lot of respect for Ann Coulter”. That says just about everything you need to know about both of them. Batshit crazy.

18. Andrew Adams

You’ve got to love this guy.

To those on the left who are now crowing…fuck you. You were blinded by your partisan hatreds into befriending your enemies – you WILL regret this.

Ok. We lost. And McCain did lose graciously – he always was gracious (unlike the
opponent). The world is not going to end suddenly…however, the USA will realise at some
point in the future that it elected (and the media in particular) a disgraceful
man to be president in the face of danger. The USA has just buried its head in
the sand, and to Israelis I would say – hit Iran in the next two to three months
- that’s how long you have to increase your chances of survival.

On the plus side. These next four years will give REAL LEFTWINGERS [my caps] like myself and the conservative movement in the USA to put in some real coordinating
thought on how to regroup and win the next election, so we can undo the damage
that will have been wrought by the “messiah”.

The thing is, he is actually a Labour Party activist. His views must go down well at local party meetings.

19. Col. Richard Hindrance (Mrs)

How the bumming heck can that freak above consider himself a “real leftwinger”?

I’d go as far as “surreal”, but really!

The thing is, he is actually a Labour Party activist. His views must go down well at local party meetings.

I know that B4L has had more than a few ‘are you sure he’s really one of ours’ emails about this guy

The Right simply can’t comprehend failure, can they? It’s not even a failure of knowing how to respond, it’s just an absence of any understanding of what the opposite of success is. The upside of this for us is that they’re bound to keep on trying the same stupid stuff, or even less intelligent things (see: M. Malkin).

And if you enjoyed this article don’t miss this: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1084111/PETER-HITCHENS-The-night-waved-goodbye-America–best-hope-Earth.html

Good evening. Thought I’d drop by and say hello.
https://liberalconspiracy.org/2008/11/06/race-in-british-politics-reasons-to-be-cheerful/
I rather liked this article. Most interesting. Personally, I’ve always rather liked David Lammy – seemed to me very sensible and a good man.
Yes, the beginning to my post-US election article was a little over the top, but then hey – everyones’s allowed to blow a little steam. I was, I admit, a little upset at the time. I happen to get on perfectly well at my local meetings – broadly speaking I support the Labour Party’s agenda, especially in local politics where it acts as a broadly sensible and fair political group and that we remain most effective when we are honest and treat the working class as people and not as an abstract entity.
President Obama? Well, we’ll see how things turn out. Though I don’t trust him or those around him, I’m willing to give the benefit of the doubt and be pleasantly surprised. Life can be surprising.

Anyway – feel free to drop over and comment or argue. Though it would be nice to keep things civil (saying he who said “fuck you” but you have to start somewhere). I quite like debate and am prepared to admit being wrong.
