I take it we’re all watching? Well, I’m flicking between it and This Week… My main reactions are very superficial:

1, Sunny has a voice for blogging.
2, He also has a dent in the back of his head, which the lights in that studio are enhancing enormously.

He’s quite good at thinking on his feet, though, isn’t he? Certainly better than Maria the Tory lady…

I thought Sunny’s arguments on the economy debate had got better and sharper since his post yesterday.

I think he did a great job. Nice one :)

Sunder, forged in the heat of LC comments, perhaps? ;)

Erm, thanks guys?

lol @ voice for blogging. love it!

PS, my voice does become slightly higher-pitched on TV because I’m so nervous :(

You want to not shave your head quite that close, mate, honestly. The dent in your head is very distracting ;)

Jennie,

At least Sunny said sensible things. Having watched the vacuous loud mouths that make up what passes for commentary on US cable over the last wee while, a “terrorist fist bump” indeed, I’ll take a voice made for blogging any time.

i thought you did well Sunny

For those of us who missed it, what are the details of any catchup/iPlayer reruns of it? I’d like to watch this.

Well done for demolishing the Tories’ spurious economic ‘policies’, Sunny! Progressive unity FTW

Just watched the video linked above, thanks Rayyan. :o)

I thought you looked much more assured than when I saw you do a paper review a couple of months ago (I put that one down to a very pally relationship between the presenter and the other reviewer, you never really found your groove that time).

You did good. Really good.

BTW. Wasn’t the Tory woman taking the most outrageously populist positions? Her response on Woolies shocked me. Credit to Sunny for calling her on it.

Sunny pwned! That Tory was a joke! Well done mate!

I thought Sunny was really good, But I think he ought to be a lot better. And I say this as his number one fan. Sunny really, really needs to go to speech classes. If you put me on the telly, I’d make a complete and utter idiot of myself. Sunny is half way there however. He is getting better, but he needs to be a lot more assertive. I recall a case where he lost the rag with an idiot, on radio IIRC, and that was Sunnys’ finest moment on broadcasting.

I am shite at communicating. Sunny, however, does a great job in advocating what we all believe in.

Fascinating conversation!

I thought you did really well Sunny – successfully broadening the context in relation to the Mubai question and you also turned the tory round on the the subject of intervention.

Their tax bomshell criticism added to their line on support for businesses really shows them up as inconsistent without getting them to expand on the conditions for a successful intervention.

I thought you almost started pushing too hard on a partisan line, but got saved by the presenter on two occasions, so you were even a bit lucky too!

We all appreciated the tie, right?

Next time Sunny, I think you should name-check the site a bit more, e.g. “As Unity argued on Liberal Conspiracy this morning” or “As Laurie, one of our contributors, always says”.

Thanks everyone. To be honest I was so nervous I’m surprised that I even sounded coherent. Robert – heh, will try it.

The Indian intelligence services arrest people who turn out to be innocent? Thank Christ that doesn’t happen over here…

;o)

Good job. The wide-eyed Tory appeared to be making a bold attempt to hypnotise you.

Ben

If I was to image critique; I’d say lose the tie, and probably the glasses, a couple of people told me it makes you look like a professor not a politico…oh yeah and the smirking didn’t go down too well either.
