Why the outrage?

Why are people surprised when an intolerant fusty old bigot – who’s the head of an intolerant fusty old bigoted organisation – acts like an intolerant fusty old bigot?

Perhaps the Pope believes homosexuals should become Catholic priests? Or don’t they already?

Considering, the greatest threat to the planet is over-population, I applaud homosexuals for their contribution.
