Even if no extra planes flew into Heathrow, an extra runway is warranted. Has anyone tried to fly from there or land there when there is fog.
Imagine all the fuel saved with less stacking over London, and less waiting on the runway with engines running.
The only shame is its taken so long to get this decision,a nd it will be another 10 years before its started.
A little like the nuclear power plants so desperatly wanted by this country.
The Tories have never looked more hypocritical and untrustworthy. That vocal anti-European Union party, who during their last stint in power somehow justified building a tunnel connecting Britain to the continent and now want to build a ‘Train à Grande Vitesse’ fixed link from the centre of Paris and Brussels to every city in Southern England, up to Manchester. The same people who argue Britain should look beyond Europe want to stop the expansion of all international airports in Southern England. The Tories are complete hypocrites!
