19th April : dialogue demonstration for peace

by Newswire

Join together with people from all backgrounds for a mass demonstration of dialogue as a tool for spreading better understanding between Londoners.

Do you love a great conversation?

Do you believe in the power of dialogue to bring people together?

Do you ever wish you could better understand people with different viewpoints or feel your community is misrepresented, and wish you could present it better?

On our Mass Dialogue rotation you’ll meet lots of people who are as keen to share as you are on a wide range of topics, from the silly to the serious, from your beliefs to what you feel about Britain.

Shouting slogans from afar rarely changes people’s minds. The anatgonism that arose between people following the war in Gaza highlighted the need for people with different opinions to talk to each other. Here is a chance to have a genuine conversation where everyone has something to gain.

At a time when fear, mistrust and even stony silence exists between people of different beliefs, we say come and speak out for better understanding. Meet people, hear their stories and tell them yours. Whatever your age, ethnicity nationality or political affiliation, whether you are a person of faith, an atheist or agnostic, come on down and bring a friend. And you may come away with some new ones.

19 April 2009
Time: 14:00 – 16:00
Location: Parliament Square
London, United Kingdom
