From the top-linked Guardian article:
“a former deputy speaker of the Commons warned a general election may have to be held to resolve the expenses crisis”
I bloody well hope so, but the prospect that Labour might squeak a win if held this June is more likely than if given another year to foul up even further – and that is a terrifying prospect indeed. I say more likely because now it looks like the Tories are just as corrupt, and people might not vote for them in the numbers needed to give them a majority of MPs.
Who could force the PM to dissolve Parliament and hold a general in June? Given that it is a few weeks away, is it logistically impossible? Are we looking at an autumn general election?
Just give me a chance to use my vote, man, it’s been too long.
Also, quite glad to see Blears caught out for trying to game the system. Hope she pays for it by having to resign or get deselected.
