Watch: Biographer says Murdochs out soon

Rupert Murdoch’s biographer Michael Wolff told Reuters yesterday that that Murdoch and his family must leave the company.

“I don’t think this company can go forward–both News International and News Corporation–with the Murdochs running it.”

He added that its likely there will be major management change within 60 days.

“Rupert is too old and James is too young and inexperienced–and we’re seeing the results.”

James Murdoch recieves unanimous backing from board of Sky which announces £1billion pre- (and most likely post) tax profits and a forthcoming special dividend to shareholders of the money unused in the failed takeover bid. Sky announces takeover of Formula One broadcast rights (with the BBC acting as a pathetic stooge). The inquiries into the Murdoch’s misdeeds will last until sometime around the next ice age, especially now the remaining employees are being scattered around the globe. Don’t think either of them are going anywhere for quite a while though I’d love to be proved wrong and for both of them to spend the rest of their lives in a Venezualan prison where they could really enjoy deregulation.
