Both David Cameron and George Osborne previously called for an independent banking inquiry into the “failures in the system of banking regulation”.
The pieces were revealed today during an exchange in the House of Commons.
Here’s the statement by George Osborne from 2008
.
And here’s the statement by David Cameron a few days later
Govt case that a Parl. inquiry would be short and sharp has blown up in their face, thanks to their Attorney General. Labour MPs laughing

Baffled by Attorney General’s point. Says swift inquiry could prejudice criminal investigation but PM calling for swift inquiry. Get it?

Difference between power and opposition. Will they never learn, people can remember?
Several people should have their collars felt swift-ish, and remanded in custody because of the continuing danger to society they represent, or flight-risk or whatever. That’s the way to do it.
Remember somebody say something about an end to ‘Punch & Judy’ politics?
We must develop some means of stopping these sociopaths from robbing us and lying.
As long as we keep voting for them, there will be no change to their behaviour.
The general public are totally disengaged from these Muppets.
Yes, we need a few sacrificial lambs before normal service is resumed.
The movement of money can never be fully controlled because the desire to exploit loop holes (or Jimmy Carr syndrome if you prefer) outweighs the desire to enforce regulation.

Lets see………..
Gordon Brown, Alastair Darling, Ed Balls, John Kingdom, Mervyn King, Fred Goodwin, Bob Diamond, Victor Blank……………….
How many have I missed?

On what law?
“We must develop some means of stopping these sociopaths from robbing us and lying.”
Well, we could stop voting for sociopaths.
