Watch: Jon Stewart rips right-wingers on Middle East

Last night the Daily Show’s Jon Stewart took a look at the recent anti-US protests in the Middle East, noting the reaction from right-wing pundits.

Key quote: “We could go all night bringing up examples of pundits and bloviaters on the right who couldn’t do enough to promote democracy in the Middle East, as long as it was done at the end of George Bush’s gun.”

The only thing more hypocritical would be if they were attacked by a website which has consistently attacked progessives who supported intervention as “neo-cons”

Damn I’m forced to admit that Jon Stewart is good.
Quite brilliant even. I’ve been listening to Hannity for the last three nights (from 8pm) on WABC New York.
He really is off his trolly about this Middle East situation. And has guests like Mark Steyn and Pat Buchanan – and announces proudly that he’ll have Sarah Palin on his evening TV show.
It’s really worth listening to for a bit.
I try to figure out if he ever does actually have a point. Maybe the Libyan consulate should have been better defended is all I can think of.
