Looks like this conservative led coalition has created a silent genocide.
Over three thousand vulnerable people have either died or committed suicide because of this governments barbaric welfare reforms. It is crystal clear that the welfare reforms are killing vulnerable people.
This government justs sits back with it’s feet up knowing that more and more vulnerable people are going to die. If this government wanted to stop this dying they could stop it tomorrow but choose to let it go on. Whats worse is that they know that many, many, many more will die in years to come. That is deliberately letting people die.
What we are witnessing is a silent genocide that this government does not care about and will not stop.
This is deliberate abuse that could be stopped tomorrow.
What else can you name or call a situation where thousands upon thousands of vulnerable people die and a government does not put a stop to it, even when it is within their power ?
What is happening to the sick and disabled in this country is on the same scale as a genocide.
2. Mr Grunt
What is happening to the sick and disabled in this country is on the same scale as a genocide.
Language like this is not merely stupid and counter productive, it means it is impossible to have a sensible conversation. If you want to beclown yourself, fine, but don’t drag down the entire discussion.
<i.Over three thousand vulnerable people have either died or committed suicide because of this governments barbaric welfare reforms. It is crystal clear that the welfare reforms are killing vulnerable people.
It is not crystal clear to me or to any other sane person. This is not merely bullshit. This is bullshit on steroids. Get a life.
This government justs sits back with it’s feet up knowing that more and more vulnerable people are going to die. If this government wanted to stop this dying they could stop it tomorrow but choose to let it go on. Whats worse is that they know that many, many, many more will die in years to come. All this proves is that some people react badly when faced with the threat of having their gravy train cut off. It has nothing to do with welfare reforms at all except to show how morally corrosive benefits are and how quickly we need to end the system that produces such people.
What else can you name or call a situation where thousands upon thousands of vulnerable people die and a government does not put a stop to it, even when it is within their power ?
Proof that Care in the Community is not working?
So Much For Subtlety
OK clever clogs, what do you call a situation that is quite literally killing people and a government that could put an end to but does not ?
Why not put halt the reforms until the situation is under control ?
Was it not cameron that promised live on television during the final electoral debate live to protect this group of vulnerable people ?
It appears to me from the evidence that the reverse is happening which is leading people to kill themselves and in many cases dying earlier !
This government has the power to help these people not make their situation worse.
So you appear think that people should die to save money because of what you feel is a morally corrosive gravy train of benefits, Thats all you have to offer.
I’m wondering whether your real name is Ian Duncan Smith because my comment appears to angered you.
Do you really believe that the death of thousands of vulnerable people is a good price to pay for the benefits reform ? Well I don’t and there is something seriously wrong when people are so desperate that they are dying early and committing suicide.
Something is seriously wrong and if you cannot see that you are either a fool or wicked.
4. Mr Grunt
OK clever clogs, what do you call a situation that is quite literally killing people and a government that could put an end to but does not ?
It depends on what the situation is. The government could, for instance, reduce HIV deaths by locking every Gay person and African immigrant up. But they won’t and they shouldn’t. If you mean some fantasy world that does not exist except in some bloggers’ imagination, I do not know what they should do. In this particular case you would have to show that anyone is dying because of these cuts. You have not done so. There is no reason to think so.
Why not put halt the reforms until the situation is under control ?
Why bother? First prove there is a problem.
This government has the power to help these people not make their situation worse.
They do. They can get them off benefits. That is all they can do to help. They should do it.
So you appear think that people should die to save money because of what you feel is a morally corrosive gravy train of benefits, Thats all you have to offer.</i.
You have no idea what I have to offer but as there remains no evidence of your claims at all it is irrelevant.
Do you really believe that the death of thousands of vulnerable people is a good price to pay for the benefits reform ? Well I don’t and there is something seriously wrong when people are so desperate that they are dying early and committing suicide.
Then you should support lowering taxes as taxes certainly drives businesses to the wall and causes people to kill themselves. Which kills more? Who knows? Why should we be concerned given there is no evidence of your claims?

Second thoughts, just explain to me your definition of the situation where over three thousand vulnerable people (sick & disabled) have become so stressed in modern day england that they have either died early or committed suicide due to a governments reforms/actions ?

Micheal Meacher’s speech clearly explained what is happening so you can use that as evidence along with the sad cases that he highlighted.
In addition to this evidence is flying around left, right and centre.
The writting is all over the walls for all to see. Professional bodies, doctors, agencies, charities and a long list of others have all said that people are dying as a result of these reforms.
What other evidence do you need ?
It appears that you are in denial !
So what do you call a situation where thousands of vulnerable people are dying and the government will not put a halt to it, then try to resolve the situation. Why wait for many more years watching more and more people die because you fail to do anything ?
Come on, what do you call all this ?

I call it a cynical exploitation of the suffering of others for cheap political point scoring.
8. Grunt
Micheal Meacher’s speech clearly explained what is happening so you can use that as evidence along with the sad cases that he highlighted.
Meacher hardly has any credibility on this issue, but if he has evidence, by all means, let’s see it.
In addition to this evidence is flying around left, right and centre.
A pity so little of it has actually landed anywhere.
The writting is all over the walls for all to see. Professional bodies, doctors, agencies, charities and a long list of others have all said that people are dying as a result of these reforms.
So all the people who live off these welfare programmes defend these welfare programmes? Several thousand deaths is not trivial and can hardly be hidden. Britain’s rate of death would spike if it was true. Has it? These figures can’t be hard to find. Why has no one found them?
So what do you call a situation where thousands of vulnerable people are dying and the government will not put a halt to it, then try to resolve the situation. Why wait for many more years watching more and more people die because you fail to do anything ?
I call it a fantasy land. I call it a desperate effort by people who know they are unfairly collecting money to defend their grants. I call it part of the moral decline of Britain. But if there is evidence, let’s see it.
So Much For Subtlefty @ 9
I can honestly say that you are an intelligent man and I have often read you comments/arguments with great enthusiasm. I can imagine an evening with you being very lively, interesting and enjoyable, honestly.
I do not believe that you are being honest in this discussion because I don’t believe that you are that cold or ruthless. I do believe that you are a good man, but for reasons unknown shield others. Probably because of political work or connections.
My final say on this discussion is that this government is in breach of human rights and hopefully once all the evidence is gathered proceedings will commence with the view to stopping thousands more people dying as a result of this governments policies/action.
Lastly when I used the word genocide I was drawing a comparison. It may not have been a wise comparison but it was the first/closest vision that came to mind.
Thank you. I do wonder what you are really like and look like, a bit like talking to someone on the phone that you never see.
Dear Website Owner,
Please can you email me the appropriate legal service address so that I can arrange for the relevant authorities to serve to act on the published disability hatred, and public order offences in relation to posts by the anonymous – So Much for Subtlety – poster on your thread:

You have a very good website, and I am all for free speach, but am utterly disgusted with the trolls that post such messages. The ones that go beyond abusing and demonising the disabled. It is about time that these anonymous people who commit offences against UK law are properly brought to justice.
Regards,
Andrew.
Andy, the comments do look heartless and trollish, but surely they don’t meet the standard where the police should be involved. Which comments do you think are beyond the pale?
And FYI, Section 5 of the Public Order Act is being amended to remove the word ‘offensive’ from the list of criteria that can trigger an arrest. Rightly so, in my opinion.
if this was happening to cats. would it be allowed !
if this was happening to dogs. would it be allowed !
Because its happening to humans/our fellow man,we bury our heads in the sand. And this is the reaction this government wants.

SMFS might be being trollish but he’s responding to allegations that the government is engaged in genocide against thr disabled.
Even speaking as someone opposed to government in general – and someone who has had half a dozen ATOS examinations myself – I think Grunt’s language is disgusting and an affront to those of us with disabilities; and I think your threat to call the police is an aftont to anyone who believes in free speech.
Shatterface @ 14
Have you not understood what Mr Grunt was saying in comment No : 10.
Mr Grunt was not being disgusting or an affront to people with disabilities.
In fact, Mr Grunt sounds like a caring person that has respect for others.
Try reading all the posts in there entirety.
Not convinced that you have attended half a dozen ATOS examinations !
“What else can you name or call a situation where thousands upon thousands of vulnerable people die and a government does not put a stop to it, even when it is within their power?”
laissez faire capitalism
If a random person on the street stole from you and you died as a result of stress or not been able to afford even food, SMFS will be on his moral high horse. If that stress pushed you over the edge and you committed suicide, SMFS’s outrage would become vitriolic. We can all imagine exactly what that blogger would have to say about it!
Why is government policy, which allows ATOS to profit from stealing from disabled people, resulting in the death of thousands of people acceptable? Why is that blogger NOT ramping up into moral outrage overdrive over such a crime – or is it acceptable for that corporation to profit from stealing an already disadvantaged person’s lifeline?
Prove to us you are not a hypocritical toady of the highest bidder, SMFS…
