Funniest video all day: Syrian forces dance to Usher

Let’s start with the caveats: war isn’t funny and the Syrian regime has killed thousands of their own people over the last few years. So I’m not white-washing anything.
But this video, captured by a local Syrian TV outfit and uploaded to YouTube yesterday, is genuinely funny.
A group of Syrian soldiers randomly start dancing to Usher’s hit track Yeah! (2004).
Although I was constantly thinking what would happen if someone’s gun (they’re all pointed at each other) went off by mistake.
Hip-hop clearly travels across the world.
The whole thing ends a bit abruptly when someone starts firing though.

Haha. It’s funny because they commit atrocities!
Jesus.
“war isn’t funny and the Syrian regime has killed thousands of their own people over the last few years”
Does kinda spoil the fun for me I’m afraid. Maybe if they weren’t actually waving their guns around next to a burning building and chanting about blood and sacrifice. Maybe if I thought they were mucking about in order to forget the horrors of war for two minutes, rather than just enjoying the party atmosphere created by running around shooting people and blowing things up. As it is, though, I’d have to say ‘bone-chilling’ comes closer to the mark than ‘funny’.
No accounting for taste though, is there?
There will be no music or dancing if the jihadists in the FSA overthrow assad
Assad’s military propaganda unit must have been up all night working on this. Nevertheless the Alawaite rulers’ secularism is entirely self-serving disguising as it does their sectarian rule.
I’m with al on this. If the “activists” win music is out. Tough choices in this modern world.

Don’t be so po-faced Cohenite.
“The whole thing ends a bit abruptly when someone starts firing though.”
Yeah, that’s the bit that spoiled an otherwise pitch-perfect performance for me, too, the premature gun-spunking. Bloody guns, eh!
Very funny but this is even funnier …
